Washington, D.C. – October 13, 2011
MorganFranklin Corporation, a business and technology consulting firm that delivers financial management, performance improvement, and national security solutions to government and industry clients, today announced that it has been named prime contractor for a $14 million, three-year task order under the SeaPort-e acquisition program. Under this contract, MorganFranklin will provide services to the United States Marine Corps (USMC) in four functional areas, including Office of Management and Budget (OMB) A 123 internal control, audit support, application systems analysis, and business systems analysis.

SeaPort-e is the U.S. Navy’s electronic platform for acquiring support services in 22 functional areas, including engineering, financial management, and program management. The Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP), Office of Naval Research, USMC, and Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) compete their service requirements among more than 1,800 SeaPort-e Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) multiple-award contract holders.

“MorganFranklin is proud and honored to be selected to continue to provide internal control, audit, and systems support to the U.S. Marine Corps,” said Bill Hughes, managing director in MorganFranklin’s government sector Financial Management and Performance Improvement practice. “Over the past few years, we have had the opportunity to support Marine Corps initiatives to improve accuracy of financial information, reduce costs, and boost compliance with OMB requirements. We are excited and look forward to helping the Marine Corps and the Department of Defense (DoD) move toward the goal of improving the reliability and validity of financial information used by DoD decision makers, and ultimately obtaining a clean, unqualified audit opinion.”
