Just 18 months after launching its Growth Market practice, D.C.-based consultancy expands to serve high-growth clients across 15 states and adds new leadership roles.
Washington, D.C. – June 3, 2015
MorganFranklin Consulting, a D.C.-based, strategy and execution-focused business consulting firm and professional advisor, today announced impressive expansion of its Growth Market practice, which over the past 18 months includes work at clients across 15 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and Canada. The practice, which has seen revenue growth upwards of 170% over this time last year, serves fast-growing businesses by preparing them for initial public offerings (IPOs) and other transactions, assisting with technology and operations strategy and helping them manage growth wisely.
Since 2014, MorganFranklin’s Growth Market team has helped more than 20 companies prepare to go public across industries spanning health care and life sciences to financial services and Software as a Service (SaaS). The firm has also expanded its capabilities by partnering with technology vendors such as Oracle, NetSuite, and Host Analytics to serve its rapidly growing client base and evolving market needs.
“We are thrilled to see our Growth Market practice expand across such varied industries and all regions of the country—throughout the East Coast and westward to include Texas, Illinois, and California. Demand, reputation, and referrals took us there, and we fully expect this trend to continue,” said Shawn Degnan, Managing Director and Growth Market Leader. “We set out to create a different type of firm by listening to our clients and their advisors, who said that they wanted solutions well beyond the traditional and narrowly focused IPO readiness firms. We combined deep technical financial and accounting skills with business process, regulatory, compliance, and IT delivery capabilities to deliver all-encompassing solutions.”
To support the growing practice, Managing Director Leigh Ann Schultz, who currently serves in the Corporate Investigations & Dispute Solutions practice, will expand her role to include MorganFranklin’s greater Washington, D.C., area Growth Market initiatives. She will be responsible for building client relationships and partnerships with investors and private equity and venture-stage companies. In her expanded role, Schultz will help clients devise solutions to achieve smart, fast growth. She brings more than 20 years of Big Four accounting, industry, consulting, and regulatory experience.
“The D.C. market is ripe with opportunity and MorganFranklin has proven that it can be an invaluable business partner to companies, investors, and our extended network of trusted service partners. I am excited at the opportunity to build on our presence in D.C. and support our long-standing commitment to high-potential companies,” Schultz said.
