Recent Promotions Reflect Firm’s Dedication to Transformative Client Experience

WASHINGTON, DC, March 30, 2023 – MorganFranklin Consulting, a leading management and technology advisory firm, has announced the promotions of Geoff Harkness, Amy Hover, Barbara Ard and Tom Roland to managing partner, as well as the alignment of Chris Mann to the role of president.

These promotions reflect the exceptional contributions that Harkness, Hover, Ard and Roland have made to the firm’s continued success. Their leadership and expertise have been integral to MorganFranklin Consulting’s growth, as well as the development of the firm’s people and services.

Geoff Harkness leads MorganFranklin’s information management and technology practice where he is responsible for shaping and leading the firm’s technology offerings, which include technology advisory, M&A planning and execution, cloud applications enablement and data analytics. Additionally, Geoff oversees MorganFranklin’s strategic organic and inorganic growth initiatives, including the innovation and development of new solution offerings. Harkness is adept at managing the change and human capital alignment involved with the introduction and adoption of new business processes and technology, and he specializes in the strategic planning, implementation and independent oversight of solutions that improve business operations. Harkness holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of West Virginia and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

Amy Hover is a strategic executive leader with deep financial acumen, operational experience, client services expertise and an extensive record of driving strategic solutions. As MorganFranklin’s risk and regulatory practice leader, she understands effective risk management is core to driving business value. Her client-centered approach focuses on providing practical solutions to complex challenges by connecting MorganFranklin’s full suite of solution offerings to achieve strategic client objectives related to top-line growth initiatives, operational efficiencies and cost reduction. Prior to joining MorganFranklin, Hover worked 20 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers and served as an assurance partner in several industries and in PwC’s environmental, social and governance practice. Hover earned a BSBA from the University of Richmond and is a certified public accountant licensed in Virginia.

Barbara Ard leads MorganFranklin’s accounting advisory solution, delivering technical accounting, financial reporting and transaction advisory services to clients ranging from venture capital and private equity-backed businesses to publicly traded companies of all sizes. During her time at MorganFranklin, Ard’s strategic and practical approach has led numerous companies through successful IPOs, M&A transactions and private equity deals. She has also contributed to a number of panels hosted by companies including IPO Edge, IIA and BDO. Prior to joining MorganFranklin in 2013, Ard served as a senior managing director in the transaction advisory services practice at FTI Consulting and as a partner at Deloitte. She also served as CFO of ServiceBench, a venture-backed software company. Ard has a bachelor’s in business administration and accounting from Duquesne University. She is also a licensed certified public accountant.

Tom Roland leads MorganFranklin’s strategy and transformation practice, driving client initiatives that accelerate successes around acquisition integration, transactions, technology implementations, finance transformations and process re-engineering. Roland also leads the end-to-end service delivery for MorganFranklin’s carve-out offerings, ESG services and associated strategic initiatives. Tom is known for his client collaboration in identifying challenges, understanding options, and implementing sustainable and scalable solutions. Since joining MorganFranklin in 2003, Roland has been instrumental in helping clients through challenges created by M&A activity, as well the complex and dynamic regulatory environment. His demonstrated success navigating high-stakes merger integrations and carve-out transactions makes him a sought-after advisor for progressive executives and their teams. Prior to joining MorganFranklin, he worked at Concert Communication and began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the firm’s assurance and advisory practice. Roland has a bachelor’s in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame.

As CEO and managing partner of MorganFranklin, Mann was instrumental in orchestrating the firm’s acquisition by Vaco in 2019; he has been an ongoing champion of the MorganFranklin mission, people initiatives and overall culture. As president, Mann will continue to lead the overall strategic direction of the firm, overseeing day-to-day operations, driving long-term growth, and coordinating activities around value creation for MorganFranklin and Vaco.
