Barbara Ard, Fred Hargrove, Frank Landefeld, and Ken Merritt have contributed to the firm’s rapid growth in the Washington, D.C., market and nationwide by serving commercial and government clients across numerous industries.

Barbara Ard focuses on advising high-growth companies, and she has led numerous successful initial public offerings (IPOs) and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) readiness projects since joining MorganFranklin in 2013. With more than 25 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), auditor, hands-on IPO expert, and merger and acquisition (M&A) and transaction advisory professional, she astutely blends these competencies with prior startup CFO experience and a seasoned, practical approach to solving urgent business issues for clients. Prior to joining MorganFranklin, Ard served as Senior Managing Director in the Transaction Advisory Services practice at FTI Consulting. She also spent 18 years with Deloitte & Touche, most recently serving as Partner in the Accounting and Auditing and Merger and Acquisition practices, and she served as CFO of ServiceBench, a venture-backed software company.

Fred Hargrove focuses on enterprise information management (EIM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and enterprise performance management (EPM), applying more than 20 years of Big Four accounting, industry, and consulting experience. He specializes in optimizing processes, controls, technology, and data to resolve the challenges that impede organizations’ financial and operational performance. Hargrove serves clients across a variety of industries, including financial services, banking, insurance, media and entertainment, consumer products, and telecommunications. Prior to joining MorganFranklin, he spent seven years in IBM’s Business Consulting Services (formerly PricewaterhouseCoopers) Financial Management Solutions practice.

Frank Landefeld helps clients build and execute strategies to modernize and innovate the technologies they employ. He has more than 20 years of technology strategy, business and requirements analysis, and modernization experience serving clients around the world in a variety of industries and government through alignment of technology investments with mission execution and business needs. Prior to joining MorganFranklin, Landefeld served as the lead for Strategic Technology & Innovation within Booz Allen Hamilton’s Justice and Homeland Security practice. Previously, he served at Voxiva Inc., BearingPoint/KPMG, Blue Martini Software, and Oracle Corporation.

Ken Merritt has more than 20 years of experience combining his deep strategic business acumen and financial background to produce significant bottom-line results. He has worked with some of the world’s largest corporations, leading finance transformation initiatives and specializing in finance strategy and operations within financial services and other industries. Prior to joining MorganFranklin, Merritt served as Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting, designing and executing finance transformation programs for large banking and securities clients. Previously, he served at First Annapolis Consulting, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), and General Electric (GE).
