Award profiles innovative client projects designed to automate, optimize, streamline and improve the supply chain

WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 14, 2023 – Supply & Demand Chain Executive, a global supply chain publication, named Plantensive, a MorganFranklin Consulting company, as one of the winners of this year’s Top Supply Chain Projects award, which profiles innovative case study-type projects designed to automate, optimize, streamline and improve the supply chain.

“We are incredibly honored and proud to be recognized as a recipient of the 2023 Top Supply Chain Projects Award by Supply & Demand Chain Executive,” said Derek Cesarz, managing partner at Plantensive. “This award is a testament to the hard work, dedication and innovative thinking of our entire team at Plantensive. It reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional supply chain solutions that drive tangible results for our clients. We are unwavering in our dedication to helping our clients optimize their supply chains, streamline operations and unlock new opportunities for growth. This award serves as confirmation that we are on the right path.”

The project that Plantensive won the award for is an ongoing multi-year supply chain planning operations engagement for a large distributor. Prior to engaging Plantensive, the client faced challenges with their supply chain planning software, including resourcing to support it, disparate processes, system adoption and forecast accuracy. Since being engaged, Plantensive introduced a Planning-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution, resulting in immediate process improvements and addressing the client’s resource challenges. The new process alignment was implemented and rolled out across the client’s brands, enabling their ability to forecast accurately while also improving training and performance across their portfolio.

“From demand planning and forecasting to implementing the ultimate in warehouse automation, the past 12 months has seen companies within the supply chain and logistics space upgrade, enhance, adopt and adapt in order to achieve greater efficiency along the chain,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics. “That’s why it’s important today’s supply chains run on collaboration.”

“Companies partnered to implement each others’ software and technology and work smarter, together. And, it’s these partnerships that have enabled many supply chain organizations to better manage inventory, reduce costs, retain employees, track data and analytics and build resilience for whatever disruptions may lie ahead,” Mayer adds.

Earlier this year, Plantensive’s Jared Simons, Violet Jaramillo and Kristen D’Amore were named by Supply & Demand Chain Executive as 2023 “Pros to Know.” Plantensive was also a recipient of the 2019 and 2020 Top Supply Chain Projects award.
