Matt DeFrain serves as the Cyber & Operational Resilience (CORe) managing director for MorganFranklin’s cybersecurity practice. He supports a world-class team of experts to ensure clients across industries can recover from disasters and maintain operational resilience while navigating an ever-widening attack surface. He is instrumental in his role, providing tailored, strategic CORe solutions for large, Fortune 500 clients. Matt is known for his client-focused leadership, team dedication, and ability to deliver high-quality cyber and operational resilience solutions.
Prior to joining MorganFranklin, Matt served as a crisis management and resilience managing director at Deloitte, and as a national leader of business resilience services at KPMG. He has a wealth of experience, having spent more than 20 years assisting some of the world’s leading organizations to build cybersecurity, operational resilience and continuity, crisis management, IT resilience and recovery, third-party risk, and enterprise risk management capabilities.
Matt earned his B.A. from the University of Illinois, and he holds the professional certifications from ISC(2), Disaster Recovery Institute (DRII), and the Business Continuity Institute (BCI).
