MorganFranklin M&A, post-transaction optimization, and organizational and financial systems strategy expert among winners of premier awards program honoring 35 professionals under 35 who are redefining the consulting industry.

Washington, D.C. – March 8, 2016
Consulting magazine has named MorganFranklin Consulting Senior Manager Jeff Henry a winner of the publication’s prestigious Rising Stars of the Profession Awards, which annually recognize 35 of the best young talents in the consulting profession under age 35. Henry is profiled in the March 2016 issue of Consulting magazine for Excellence in Financial Consulting, marking the second consecutive year that a professional from the D.C.-area firm has appeared on the list of young up-and-comers. The magazine spotlights all 35 honorees in the categories of Excellence in Leadership, Client Service, Strategy Consulting, Health Care, Financial Services, High Tech, Retail, Information Technology, and Human Resources.

“Winning Consulting magazine’s Rising Stars of the Profession Award is unlike anything I could have imagined, and it is incredibly humbling. I feel grateful for the unparalleled opportunities MorganFranklin and its leadership team have provided, and it is amazing to me what you can achieve in the right environment,” Henry said. “While MorganFranklin’s leadership challenges me on a daily basis to work harder, achieve more, and deliver better results, they also continually provide me with the support I need to be successful. It is unique and empowering to believe in your firm and feel as though you are a key contributor to the company’s overall success—and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it. This award is a reminder of how fortunate I am to have the opportunities MorganFranklin and my clients provide.”

Since joining MorganFranklin in 2013, Henry has helped public company CFOs plan for and execute complex buy- and sell-side transactions, and he has led delivery on deals ranging from small technology acquisitions and divestitures to multibillion-dollar financial services deals. He recently served as the Strategic Account Lead for the firm’s work across a top 10 U.S. bank and also led an engagement with a technology firm to restructure its entire finance organization following a series of rapid fire acquisitions. In addition, Henry has led engagements to select and implement new financial systems, develop data and technology strategies, and implement new control and governance frameworks. He also spearheaded the formation of MorganFranklin’s Employee Engagement Committee, and his areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions (M&A), post-merger integration and optimization, organizational strategy assessment, and financial data and systems strategy. Henry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in corporate financial management with a minor in accounting from Clemson University and will complete his Master of Business Administration degree from the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business in 2017. He holds Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

“We were once again blown away with the quality of the more than 200 nominations we received this year. It never ceases to amaze us what this generation of consultants is bringing to the profession,” said Joe Kornik, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Consultingmagazine. “The Rising Stars of the Profession Award isn’t just about talent and potential, it’s about results and impact. These 35 winners are difference makers to their firms, their co-workers, and their clients, but they’re also moving the needle for the entire consulting profession—and all before their 35th birthdays. It’s simply amazing.”

The May 2016 issue of Consulting magazine will feature special coverage and photographs from the Rising Stars of the Profession gala awards dinner, which will be hosted on April 14 at the W Chicago City Center.
