National Security Solutions business unit to be acquired by SRA International, Inc.
Washington, D.C. – December 4, 2012
MorganFranklin Corporation, recognized as one of the top business consulting and technology solutions providers in the country, announced today a definitive agreement to divest its national security solutions business unit to SRA International, Inc. The divestiture aligns with the company’s strategic growth priorities. Terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
“MorganFranklin has invested many years supporting our nation’s national security mission. We are extremely proud of our national security focused employees for their commitment to the company and for their extraordinary service to our clients,” said Rob Franklin, MorganFranklin co-founder and President of National Security Solutions. “The time is right. SRA is a great cultural fit. Transitioning employees will have tremendous opportunity for growth, and our national security customers will have immediate access to world-class capabilities.”
MorganFranklin’s National Security Solutions business unit was recently selected as a prime contract awardee on two top United States government contracts: the Global Tactical Advanced Communications Systems (GTACS) and Services contract issued by the U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), and the United States Government’s Omnibus Network Enterprise (USG ONE) contract to provide information technology and communications support services to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Department of Defense (DoD), and all Other Government Agencies (OGAs).
“Our decision to divest is one that we took very seriously,” said Robert Morgan, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of MorganFranklin. “SRA has the platform and maturity to help our employees reach their full potential, and they bring our national security clients immediate access to a wide range of proven solutions. They are a perfect fit. When it comes to aligning with strategic growth priorities, this is a win-win for everyone, MorganFranklin and SRA.”
MorganFranklin will now focus all of its energy and investment toward business consulting and further expanding its financial management, performance improvement, and technology capabilities.
“We have seen significant demand for our consultants who help commercial and government clients improve the processes, systems, data, and operational strategies necessary to support growth, meet compliance requirements, and transform operations,” Morgan said. “The divestiture gives MorganFranklin the ability to focus on where we see the greatest potential for our growth. We will continue to hire top talent, invest in the market, and grow our reputation as one of the top consulting firms in the country. The future is bright for both organizations.”
