Firm’s Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility named 2013 LLS ‘Woman of the Year,’ leading the National Capital Chapter to set a new fundraising record of $1.145 million.

MorganFranklin Consulting, a leading business consulting and technology solutions company based in McLean, Va., and London, announced that Jeana Foster, the firm’s Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), has been named the 2013 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) National Capital Chapter Woman of the Year. Foster led 19 contenders, who collectively raised $1.145 million through 10 weeks of fundraising, a new record for the National Capital Chapter.
Leo Tucker, Managing Partner at Northwestern Mutual, was named the 2013 Man of the Year at the campaign’s Grand Finale Gala on the evening of Saturday, June 8. Foster and Tucker are now in the running for the national titles of 2013 Man & Woman of the Year.
“Working with the LLS, meeting ‘Boy and Girl of the Year’ Reed and Madison, and knowing that my efforts will bring us closer to finding a cure for them and all those suffering from blood cancers is truly inspiring,” Foster said. “Words cannot express how I felt when my name was announced as the winner. Approximately every four minutes, one person in the United States is diagnosed with blood cancer, and 149,990 people in the U.S. are expected to be diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma in 2013.
