Meet Matt Wilson.

Describe your role at MorganFranklin.

I am a Director in the Strategy, Transformation, and Technology practice, leading our Microsoft Dynamics team. We specialize in selling, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics ERP software.

Tell us about your professional background and what led you to pursue a career at MorganFranklin.

I am a CPA with over 27 years of experience implementing accounting software. I have a passion for leveraging technology to make businesses more efficient. New ERP implementations often serve as the foundation for broader digital transformations within organizations. I’m excited to be at MorganFranklin, improving the lives of our clients one process at a time.

What appeals to you about your career in strategy & transformation.

The biggest appeal is the people I work with. Since starting at MorganFranklin, I’ve met some of the smartest individuals I know. I love our approach to building deep relationships with clients and sharing those relationships across the firm to bring even more value to them.

We hear you’re an avid tabletop gamer – which one is your favorite and what makes it stand out?

Magic: The Gathering is my favorite. It’s the first-ever trading card game (it predates Pokémon!). I started playing it with my son when he was 12, and I never stopped. The game has such a large community—you can almost always find someone to play with at your nearest game store. My son is 21 now, so I’ve even taught my wife to play to keep it going.

Bonus question: How many tabletop games do you currently own and which one have you played the most?

I own somewhere around 30 games. My all-time favorites—and the ones we play the most—are Pandemic, Fluxx, and Mysterium.

Spending time with your family is a priority for you. What’s your favorite activity to enjoy together during family gatherings?

In addition to playing games, we enjoy going to the movies and traveling. Recently, we’ve taken trips as far as Mexico and as close as the mountains of Western Maryland near Deep Creek Lake. In the summer, we love having cookouts and spending time around the swimming pool.
