Please tell us about your professional background and what led you to pursue a career at MorganFranklin.
I began my career in Los Angeles working at Warner Bros. Television and Oxygen Media. I returned to school to get my MBA and redirect my career to finance and consulting. I joined MorganFranklin almost ten years ago!
Describe your role and the work that you do in the government sector at MorganFranklin.
I am a Director at MorganFranklin specializing in the public sector. My client work is focused primarily on risk and compliance, including enterprise risk management. I support a variety of high-profile civilian agencies. In addition to my day-to-day client work, I spend a lot of time in practice development creating and refining new, innovative methodologies.
What characteristics and disciplines do you need to be successful in your role at MorganFranklin?
To be successful at MorganFranklin, it is important to be collaborative, organized, value-focused, client-focused, detail oriented, and a people person.
As someone who has worked with our firm for nearly a decade, how have you taken ownership of your career growth at MorganFranklin? What does “surpassing expectations” mean to you and in the work you do?
I have had great support at MorganFranklin in my career growth and I have been able to work with my managers to focus on new areas of interest. To me, “surpassing expectations” means doing excellent work for your client that is tailored to meet their unique needs.
What advice would you give to someone hoping to pursue a career at MorganFranklin?
A successful career at MorganFranklin includes being self-motivated, a go-getter, proactive, and curious.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, baking, shopping, traveling, and seeing friends.
If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead, real or fictional, who would you choose and why?
Deb Perelman, the food blogger of Smitten Kitchen, because she created a successful career based on her passion for cooking and baking. She is curious, exact, and funny. I would like to ask her questions about her approach and how she is able to do it all.
