GREAT TEAMS START WITH GREAT PEOPLE.
Meet Adam Hakimi
What is your motto or personal mantra?
Do not wish for it; work for it.
What is your role at MorganFranklin, and what do you do?
I have been a consultant at MorganFranklin since February 2018. I have been involved in an audit readiness project and I am currently assisting my client with compliance reviews related to loan agreements.
As an employee referral, what ultimately made you decide that MorganFranklin was the right firm for you?
I like the fast-paced work environment, but specifically the diversity of projects and the opportunity to learn new skills. MorganFranklin is a mid-sized firm that is growing and expanding. I wanted to be a part of that growth.
What has been your most interesting client at MorganFranklin, and why?
Currently, I am engaged on a project that involves assisting our client with compliance reviews of health insurance cooperatives that were formed under the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). This is an interesting project because I get to work with a team of very knowledgeable people and we collaborate daily. Also, you must pay attention to what goes on in the government and the decisions that are made regarding the healthcare industry, which is pretty cool.
What is your proudest moment at MorganFranklin, and why?
My first project at MorganFranklin was regarding the IPERA act, which is the Improper Payments & Elimination and Recovery Act. I had no prior experience with IPERA, so I had to learn on the go and it worked out great. The project also had incredible leadership, which made it even more rewarding.
If you had to recruit someone to join the MorganFranklin team, what are three traits you would want to see in this recruit?
I believe being transparent, having great communication skills, and being able to adapt to different clients and projects are key traits to success here at MorganFranklin.
What advice would you give to someone hoping to pursue a career at MorganFranklin?
MorganFranklin is a growing firm, and the leadership team here has a great vision on where they want the firm to be in the future. My advice is to always be adaptable and a team player. Be eager to learn, and to step out your comfort zone at times.
What has been your favorite team, corporate activity, or event hosted by MorganFranklin?
The all-hands meeting that are conducted quarterly. Within a first few weeks of joining the firm, I attended a meeting and enjoyed seeing everyone in one place, as a lot of folks are traveling to client sites throughout the year. I got to meet a lot of great people that I wouldn’t normally interact with.
What movie character best represents you?
Al Pacino in “Scarface”… just kidding!
I would say Rocky Balboa. Not his boxing skills, but his passion for hard work and determination to always win.
What does an ideal Saturday look like for you?
Playing basketball with friends, and if the weather permits, throwing some steaks on the outdoor grill. Every now and then, I enjoy a night out in DC with friends and family.
