Sean Hanley leads MorganFranklin Consulting’s finance transformation practice, with a focus around driving efficiency and effectiveness across the entire corporate function of an enterprise. This includes internally driven periodic transformation activity, those driven by transactional events (mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, IPO and SPAC readiness), as well as everything from standing up and optimizing finance functions for mid-tier companies to redesigning and implementing national and global target operating model and business process optimization projects for Fortune 50 companies.
Prior to joining MorganFranklin, Sean cultivated a wide array of experience in accounting, audit, corporate governance, and consulting. This has included a finance transformation leadership role at EY, a number of years auditing as well as drafting of accounting standards for national and international bodies. Sean also has significant experience in the International Development and Not For Profit space with a decade working in the area across Australia, Asia and Africa.
Sean has been recognized for his innovation, leadership skills, and can-do attitude, receiving several awards including: EY Americas Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, 2017; EY Americas FAAS Leader of “Highest Performing Team”, 2016; Bureau of Meteorology Australia Day Award for Innovation, 2013; and Australia Day Medal for Excellence, 2008.
He is a certified public accountant in New York, a chartered accountant in Australia, and holds a degree in commerce from Australian National University.
