Eric Reicin


Eric Reicin serves as Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary for MorganFranklin Consulting, LLC and its parent, MorganFranklin, Inc. He serves as CLO, leads the Corporate Investigations & Dispute Solutions consulting practice, and also leads the Contracts department. Prior to joining MorganFranklin in 2013, Eric most recently served as SVP and Deputy General Counsel at Sallie Mae and spent 14 years working in senior legal roles at Sallie Mae. Eric led a team of attorneys and professionals based in six cities and, among other areas, led its offensive and defensive litigation group. Earlier in his career, Eric was a litigator at law firms in Washington, D.C., and Chicago.

Eric is extremely active in the legal community. In 2014, Eric completed a six-year term on the global board of Association of Corporate Counsel. Eric also previously served as president of the ACC National Capital Region chapter.  Eric currently serves on the advisory boards of the Georgetown University Law Center Corporate Counsel Institute and the American Employment Law Council, is co-chair of the ACC-National Capital Region General Counsel Club, and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Eric is past chair of the ABA EEO Committee, and he recently served on the faculty of the Virginia State Bar Professionalism Course.

Eric serves as the 2016-2018 chair of the Executive Leadership Team for the Lawyers Have Heart 10K/5K benefiting the American Heart Association. In 2016, the Association of Corporate Counsel NCR named Eric winner of the Outstanding Chief Legal Officer Award, and in 2016 he also received Trending 40 DC’s Top Corporate Counsel. In 2019, Legal 500 named Eric to the GC Powerlist-United States. The Legal 500 GC Powerlist- United States recognizes the most influential in-house lawyers in business today. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science from the University of Michigan.
