MorganFranklin Corporation Hosts Annual Wounded Warrior Project Invitational Golf Tournament

Third annual golf tournament generates $100,000 in donations for the Wounded Warrior Project

McLean, Virginia – October 23, 2007
MorganFranklin Corporation, a professional services and IT solutions provider to business and government leaders on high-stakes financial, operational and IT issues, hosted the company’s third annual Wounded Warrior Project Invitational Golf Tournament at Andrews Air Force Base on September 10, 2007. The tournament generated donations that more than doubled from last year as MorganFranklin presented the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) with a check for $100,000 in cash and in-kind contributions.

“This is the third year that MorganFranklin and the Wounded Warrior Project have worked closely together and it continues to be a very successful relationship,” says RJ Meade, senior benefits liaison for the Wounded Warrior Project. “The money has helped the WWP sponsor several events, pass legislation and continues to help us do our day-to-day jobs.”

The Honorable Anthony J. Principi, former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, was the tournament’s guest speaker and spoke about the heavy sacrifices military personnel make proudly in the name of the United States. The event was also covered by Comcast SportsNet, including sportscasters Chick Hernandez, who emceed the silent auction and awards dinner, Steve Buckhantz and Phil Chenier, former NBA player with the Washington Bullets.

“I am extremely excited and grateful for the support we are receiving for what has become a premier event,” says Rob Franklin, MorganFranklin COO. “I am thankful that we are able to make an impact on the Wounded Warrior Project’s mission. MorganFranklin looks forward to securing additional support for the heroic men and women who are out there making great sacrifices for our country.”
