Former Commander of White House Communications Agency
Joins MorganFranklin Corporation

McLean, Virginia — February 2, 2007
MorganFranklin Corporation, a services and solution provider to business and government on complex and high-stakes finance, operations and IT issues, proudly announces that it has named Colonel Howard I. Cohen, USA(R), Former Commander, White House Communications Agency (WHCA), as a Director in the MorganFranklin Technology Solutions Group.

Cohen retired from the military in January 2007, following 27 years of distinguished service in the United States Army. His career includes service as commander of the 35th Signal Brigade (Airborne) in support of the XVIII Airborne Corps at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. Cohen commanded at the platoon, detachment, company, battalion, squadron and brigade levels. His service also includes Battalion Signal Officer, Operations Officer, Deputy Inspector General and Battalion Executive Officer.

A graduate of Signal Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Ranger School, Basic Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, the Combined Arms Staff Officer Course, the Army Command and General Staff Officer Course, Cohen also completed the Senior Service College as a National Security Program Fellow with the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. In addition, Cohen holds a bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College and a master’s degree from Central Michigan University.

Cohen is highly decorated for his service to the country. His awards include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with five oak leaf clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, The Overseas Ribbon, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award and the Army Superior Unit Award.
