Bill Hughes, Managing Director

Bill Hughes has been instrumental in helping to shape the strategic direction for the company's Public Sector activities. In addition to leading a number of key projects, Hughes is responsible for leading Federal market business development and contributing to the creation of new service offerings.

Prior to joining MorganFranklin, Hughes served 10 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) and focused on U.S. Federal agency and both public and private technology, software and information communication. He was active in company audit and internal control engagements.

Hughes most recently served as PwC's Lead Project Director for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of Management and Budget (OMB) No. A-123 Sarbanes-Oxley engagement. He designed and taught training classes on numerous technical accounting and auditing matters.

Hughes has extensive experience with Federal and SEC Accounting and Reporting, successfully leading project teams on high-profile and complex multi-national Federal and commercial engagements. He served as Lead Project Director on the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Office of Inspector General and Defense Security Service (DSS) Audit Readiness Assessment.

Hughes earned a B.S. in Accounting from Canisius College in Buffalo , N.Y. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in N.Y., Va., and Washington, D.C. Hughes is also a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM).
